Because of you, I am going to challenge myself and start a second 100 days project! I will walk everyday for 100 days! And then, as I sit to rest, I’ll continue my other 100 days of drawing! You inspire me every day 😘

Congrats on joining the 100 days project. I’m already on day 44. Your post resonated a lot with me - with my reasons for committing to it and the intention not to make this about productivity for an outside audience. I look forward to reading how it’s going for you once you’ve started.

I read Suleika's post the other day and I had the same idea. I will stick to writing daily, particularly on a project I really want to finish. We can do this!

oo! Can you share what kind of project you're working on? And yes, we can (!!)

So, I've been wanting to write a memoir about my time living in Cuba and then my first year in the U.S. I left Cuba under unusual circumstances and life there in the 80s and 90s is not something I've seen a lot of in print. I'm lucky that part of my story was featured in Humans of New York! (I don't live in NY, but this was during the pandemic and Brandon was doing remote stories)

This is sooo cool. As the child of a Cuban immigrant, I'm especially interested. Please write this! I would love to read it.

At least I know I'll have one reader! :)

Love your writing and spirit! 100 days does seem like another to-do item, but I also see the brilliant wisdom in it. I, too, write and illustrate, so if I choose art it will be art totally free of anything 'serious'.

Thank you for your kind words, Renee!

I think the hard part is finding the way to make this challenge less to-do and more to-liberate haha. That's why I decided to "draw" rather than illustrate, but still I need to set some non-work boundaries there. Any ideas on what art project you'd take on?

Just you asking me what art project sparked an idea! I think it would be good to create a watercolor painting that is approached with an unhurried hand. Meaning a slow, meditative practice, one layer a day. Thank you for helping me find the project!
