I ditched insta about 2 years & havent really looked back. Occasionally get pangs but when their new terms of service came in a few years ago I knew it was time to escape & so I did (but not before getting a zip file of my entire history & every photo sent to me - scary!) I’m on gab - that’s my indulgence & it’s more words & information than filters & fake. Keep up the writing ✍️ you do it well!!

Ugh, I totally have a "can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em" relationship with Instagram! And maybe Tik Tok too. But I appreciate the question of optimization. I am going to ponder how I might optimize...Thanks!
Tatiana, this was so beautifully written! I temporarily disabled my Instagram account at the beginning of this new year and it's been such a weird but relieving experience. The paragraph or two towards the end where you detail your reunion with Instagram made me tear up — now I'm wondering what my reunion will feel like once I return and how much will change on the platform. Can't wait to see more pieces from you :)
I hate Instagram. It’s so much pressure. As an “older person” I always feel behind and not doing the right things with it. I also don’t have a lot of time and get angry when I waste it on Instagram. But… I stay connected with people from my past and I get to watch my students grow up!!

Amazing!!! Seriously … you nailed it.. we all struggle and no one speaks about it. I just went back to the creepy Instagram as well… yes it’s crazy!!
challenging myself to the 7 minute rule for 7 days. as always, thank you for your words.
So good!! Read every word. Loved every word. It’s going to be an amazing year (in one big amazing adventure of a life)!
